All That the Rain Promises, and More ...: A Hip Pocket Guide to Western Mushrooms This is a very informative book for many of the mushrooms of the Pacific Coast. Some of the pages contain stories of mushroomer's adventures and recipes. My only problem with the book is that there are not as many different types listed as I hoped. I am in an area where there are many different mushrooms, and I'm still looking for a book that identifies them! But, it is a very good, easy to understand book.

This is a very informative but still fun guide to western mushrooms. I bought it because my husband borrowed it from a friend, then promptly lost it, so we had to replace it. Now my husband wants me to order another one for himself.

This book is so wonderful! It's a great resource for the novice mycologist with beautiful color photos and detailed descriptions. The best thing about this book is the authors' light-hearted yet knowledgeable approach...more scientists should have this much fun!
