All gardeners will welcome this brand new edition of a practical, popular, and hard-working guide to the art and science of garden design. Updated with magnificent new photography, information on making the most of digital images at presentations, and a wealth of new ideas, it leads keen amateurs and budding professionals through the complete process of making a garden from scratch. From carrying out the initial survey to drawing up plans, from presenting to client to implementing the final design, everything is here. See how much can be done with simple, inexpensive equipment; use computer graphics to design garden structures; and take advantage of databanks with plant information to achieve exactly the desired effect each season of the year.

I bought this book after meeting Rosemary Alexander at The English Gardening School. Explains each stage of design process, clearly written and even as an amateur I picked up some good tips. Now studying by distance learning!
