I recommend this book to all of you "foodies" out there; equally if you like cooking or just like to eat! Along with "Joy of Cooking" I consider this encyclopedia a MUST HAVE kitchen bible. I recommended it to my students at every cooking lesson. Over the years, I have given several exemplars as precious gifts. A terrific reference, the book is full of clear, concise shopping and cooking tips, charts, how-to's tips and recipes, beautifully illustrated. It is the dictionary and encyclopedia of the kitchen. Very easy to find items, and it was actually very interesting just to read. It cut down on my phone bill to my Mom considerably. It offers fully illustrated pictures, "A Tip From Our Kitchen" provides some quick reading to get you on your way. There are many great recipes included. Along with the illustrations are charts that allow you to be efficient, which is great if you are already in the middle of cooking. I love this book and suggest it for all of my friends.
