Nice gardens, strange grammar March 14, 2006 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
I couldn't get past the poor editing of this book. Every time I saw the phrase "such as" enclosed in commas, I wanted to scream! However, these folks are experts and provide, in a short piece, a wealth of historical information. If you want your house to be surrounded by period plantings, this is the place to start. Regretfully without photos, which is a shame given that I googled the authors and they've created some very beautiful period gardens that they should be proud of.
