Product Description Paula Pryke's floral designs set the paradigm for excellence and innovation. Her latest book explores the newest trends in floral design and provides hundreds of ideas for bold centerpieces and elegant bouquets to make any table feel festive. Starting with the type of occasion and the personalities involved, she explains her signature concepts, such as using unusual containers and accessories like candles or nightlights, and combining flowers, foliage, and even fruit. She demystifies the art of using colors, textures, and architectural form for contrast. This gorgeously illustrated how-to includes all manner of floral details and accents, such as floral arrangements to adorn chair backs and miniature hand-tied bouquets to decorate napkins. Packed with ideas and techniques, this book features step-by-step instructions that make any project achievable.

| Customer Reviews:
not really for the home flower arranger October 13, 2008 Gorgeous, fairly traditional flower arrangements but most would be very expensive to copy: many, except for the small posy-type arrangements, use between 30-100 flowers plus foliage. Maybe a dozen (less than 15 per cent) had step-by-step explanations and photos. Not really for the home flower arranger. Worth borrowing from your library for the pleasure of the designs, though.
Beautiful Photos and a great guide! September 15, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is my first book by Paula Pryke and I will buy others. She gives beautiful photos of each arrangement while giving you instructions on creating the design and the proper name of each flower and filler used. In addition to the names of all the flowers in each arrangement and the simple instructions she guides you as well on the best container for each arrangement. I was able to design a topiary for a bridal shower by following her guide on type of flowers and how to do everything from soaking the oasis, ordering the flowers and the best container. I like how she mixes colors and gives you help on what season the flowers are available. I will use this book for many occasions that call for fresh flowers! This book is filled with great ideas for wedding, outdoor entertaining, birthday centerpieces and Christmas table design - you'll love it if you love fresh flower arranging!
