Disappointed on the Gulf Coast August 3, 2010 TexasLarry The layout and design of the book is good and the individual garden designs are pretty good but if you live on the Gulf Coast this book is not for you. Of the hundreds of drawings and photos there are only a few for the Gulf Coast climate zone.
a beautifukl book February 18, 2010 Jessica G. Morton 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
i knew that alot of the pictures in this book were drawings and because of that i was a little sceptical of getting it, but oh my gosh the drawings are so beautiful i think they add so much warmth and charector to this book and they are so helpful and great information i am sooooooo glad i got this book and i would recommend it to anyone looking to expand their knowledge of gardening.
Plenty of ideas December 5, 2009 RB (Maryland) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Lots of landscaping ideas. My only complaint would be that most of the book is filled with hand drawn garden layouts. I would have enjoyed seeing more real life pictures. Still a good book.
lots of ideas, not enough photographs September 16, 2009 M. Lam 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
This book had a lot of ideas but I feel that it needed more photographs to give be a better visual. It has tons of water color renditions but I rather see actual photos since I'm just a novice at this.
A wealth of ideas, and a great guide for the garden June 15, 2009 Iain J. Butterfield (Cork, Ireland) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I found this book excellent value, and full of ideas for my garden, I liked the fact it listed the plants by name (latin)
it is a very good book for anybody starting a garden :-)
