The Encyclopedia if Window Fashions March 17, 2010 Annie Dillon This book is excellent. The condition of the book which was sold as being "like new" was a big dissapointment. Many of the pages were torn and scribbled on.
same ol' same old December 2, 2009 J. Lupo would have been much better as line sketched - colors and patterns persuades the customer in one way or the other
A must-have for home decorators October 10, 2009 Leslie Wood (Oahu Hawaii USA) My local fabric store had this book, and after looking over the first few pages, I knew I had to have it in my personal library. I will never buy another window treatment pattern again. This book covers everything! Given are instructions for taking window measurements, yardages required for various window treatments, solutions for "challenging" windows, and many detailed illustrations. Appropriately titled, this is THE Encyclopedia of Window Fashions.
A Must for Designing Window Treatments November 1, 2007 Pamela M. White (Vista, CA) If you do window design, sewing and upholstery, this a must to have in your library.
Great Resource February 19, 2007 Donna J. Moberg 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This book gives you a wealth of knowledge and ideas. There are no "how to's" in the book however, so if you need sewing directions, you will need another reference. But there are charts on how to figure how much material you will need, and little hints about the types of fabrics that will look good and what to avoid with the different designs, so it is an excellent reference up to the point of actually making the drapes or curtains yourself.
